While there are no supermarkets in Maydena, basics like milk and bread are available at the Post Office or Westerway Roadhouse, and in berry season you can pick up fresh berries at the Westerway Raspberry Farm for your own feast at the retreat. Tip: Some businesses operate part-time, with seasonal hours changing month to month, so check current opening hours just before you travel — and remember, there’s no petrol station in Maydena, so fuel up on your way.

Located on the main street, this cozy cafe, store and post office, offers a simple dine-in or takeaway menu as well as a small range of groceries and essentials. Open daily Mon to Frid 9.30 - 4.00 and Sat 10.00 - 2.30. Note the kitchen closes 30 mins earlier.

A popular berry farm located 20 minutes before Maydena, offering pick-your-own and farm-gate sales of a wide variety of berries, including raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, red currants, silvanberries, golden raspberries, and josterberries. Open daily from December to May, with offerings changing weekly by season. The farm shop also features delicious ice creams, berry jams, sauces, juices, and other locally made treats as well as coffee and toasted sandwiches, a perfect seasonal stop for fresh produce and handmade goodies.
